Eastover Hotel and Resort is delighted to welcome you as our honored “Preview Guest.” While we remain dedicated to maintain the 550 acres in the cultural center of Berkshire nearby Tanglewood as open land and the restoration of a “gilded age” treasure, and one of the original Berkshire “cottages,” the top priority is your safety and enjoyment as our Guest. Eastover appreciates your patience with our “work in progress” as we complete the first stage of the infrastructure upgrade of the historical property --- road drain, sewer, water main, primary electric, Solar and wind turbine street lights, gas, roofs, handicap bathrooms, eco-friendly ACs, upgrade wiring to rooms….., We are still working on interior of Mansion secoond floor, there is only this much we can do, most rooms still have no ACs and some room electric still might trip when you plug in the hair dryer, ...…, and the multi-million dollar long term sewer project, clean up envioronmental debris, when its all done, Eastover will be one small prestine planet for you to enjoy We admire your spirit of adventure, as it is precisely this spirit or willingness to collaborate which has created the opportunity for a 15% discount on all of our rooms.
As we restore the Eastover Hotel and Resort, literally from the ground up, this monumental labor of love translates into a complexity of construction challenges. Consequently, we feel an ethical responsibility to create a realistic level of expectation for our guests' current Eastover experience. We must respectfully ask all of our guests to carefully evaluate both personal needs and technological requirements during your stay. In this way, we create mutual clarity that our state of repair best suits the comfort of our guests. With an emphasis on outdoor recreation and cultural events, Eastover's vision is one of a simple elegance from a bygone era. A gentle time with an appreciation of the fine arts, the peaceful beauty of nature, and the benefits of outdoor recreation. Your room rate reflect the high cost of maintaining the vast open meadows, the well maintained hiking trails, and the tranquil envioronment , and the many 100 year old estate buildings.
At this moment only the out lodging buildings are available for guests, these guest rooms are simple, yet well-appointed bedrooms with private bathrooms. Many of the rooms are adjoining which is very accommodating for kids and extended family. They have been upgraded from simple wallpaper changes and fresh paint to new bathrooms. Our bed and bath linens are five star hotel qualities. To encourage you to take advantage of our amazing outdoor natural beauty and the extraordinary sports facility promoting community living, there are no televisions in any guest rooms.
If your ideal is a conventional double occupancy room with television, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi or you have no time to enjoy our grounds and the outdoor facilities then we encourage you to find accommodations that best suit your needs.
Please join us as together we create new memories during your stay with the following schedule of recreational events, educational programs, and list of amenities currently available. For your entertainment, we have provided a list of local Berkshire Attractions perfectly suited for group and family outings as well as your personal well-being.Thank you for the support and understanding as we restore a Berkshire legacy.
