Becoming an Outdoors Woman Weekend

Have you ever wanted to learn new outdoor skills but didn't know where to begin? In June 2008 Becoming an Outdoors Woman progam (B.O.W.) is coming to Eastover! Sponsored by the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, B.O.W. offers a weekend of workshops including archery, birding for beginners, fly-fishing, geocaching, shotgun & riflery, hiking, kayaking, nature photography and more. This affordable program is designed for women 18 yrs and older who want to explore and enjoy outdoor activities in a relaxed, non-competitve environment. Try something new! No membership or commitment required, B.O.W. events are held throughout the state and throughout the year but the Eastover event is the only full weekend B.O.W. weekend scheduled for 2008. Santa Claus is coming to town but first he's coming to Breakfast at Eastover. Enjoy a delicious Buffet Breakfast in the Mansion followed by an opportunity for each good little boy and girl to sit and chat with Santa and have their photo taken.Here at Eastover Santa takes his time with each child and while you wait for your turn with Santa you can listen to the DJ in the dining room and sing some holiday songs, watch a holiday movie by the fireplace in the library or use our beautifully decorated Mansion to take some family photos.
