The date I would like to stay at your resort is not listed on your calendar
for families (or couples or singles). Can I still come?
Our schedule is unique in that we cater to families, couples, singles, and corporate events all at specific times. The activities are geared toward the group that is here on specific dates. Therefore, we do not accommodate children during singles and couples weeks and weekends. We also (usually) do not accommodate recreational guests during a corporate function. Couples are welcome to join in on the singles weekends with the understanding that the majority of the guests will be single and visa versa. If you have questions about a specific date, please feel free to contact us at 1-(800) 822-2386.
What does my resort rate include?
Your rate includes your room accommodations, all use of Eastover's facilities, a full social schedule of activities and three meals a day. Meals begin with dinner the night of arrival and end with lunch the day of departure (for family stays) and brunch (for couples and singles stays). But that's not all; a wide variety of soft drinks and juices are included in the price. And each night of your stay includes entertainment during which we serve snacks like pizza and cookies.
So, what's not included?
Gratuity
Although tips are truly appreciated, they are not required or included in our rate. If you choose to leave a gratuity, how big a "thank you" is up to you.
Massage Therapy
Eastover Resort offers therapeutic massage that relaxes the body and mind and restores your natural balance by releasing stress and toxins from your muscles. So whether you're tired after a long day of skiing, long night of dancing or just need some pampering we've got your needs covered.
Thirty-Minute Massage - $40.00
Sixty-Minute Massage - $65.00
Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is offered year round at Eastover for $25.00 per person for a 30-minute trail ride. Although the stables are located on Eastover's property, the horses and rides are operated by a separate business. You can sign up for horseback riding directly at the stables. For more information about trail rides at Eastover contact Joan at Sunridge Stables at (413) 519-1838. www.sunridgestables.com
Mountain Bike & Cross Country Ski & Snow Shoe Rentals
Mountain bike rentals are $5.00 per hour, $12.00 for ½ day (9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to
5 p.m.) and $20.00 for a full day (anytime 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). You are more than welcome to bring your own bike if you prefer, however, if you choose to store your bike with us in our Jock Shop, please note that the access to the rental shop is restricted to the normal operating hours. Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals are available at the same rate.
Group Photos
At a scheduled time during your stay a photographer will be on site to take group photos, which you can purchase the following day. Photos are taken in the evening at Tally Ho and can be purchased for a fee of $20.00 per photo.
What are "Eastover's Facilities?"
Eastover offers a wide array of sports including, but not limited to, tennis, softball, volleyball, basketball, archery, skeet shooting, street hockey, miniature golf, a golf driving range and putting green, mountain bike trail, cross-country skiing, shuffleboard and indoor/outdoor pools, exercise room and sauna. All equipment is provided but quantities are limited. If you have any equipment you would like to bring, feel free! Obviously, some of the activities listed are seasonal and weather dependent. Tennis instruction is included during the summer season. Group lessons for children and adults are at scheduled times which the guest services staff will be able to inform you of. Some activities, such as archery, skeet shooting and the driving range are offered at specified times on the social schedule and can only be done at these times as they must be staff supervised. We pride ourselves on offering loads of organized activities including Kids Camp and providing live entertainment before and after dinner.
What should I pack? Do I need to dress up?
We are an informal resort - casual dress rules the day (and night!). Dining is informal. Shirt and shoes are required in the dining area at all times. Linen is provided in all of the rooms and pool towels are available poolside. But, if you can't survive without a big ol' beach towel - bring it! Since we are a B.Y.O.B. resort, you provide the cooler and we'll provide the ice. Girls, pack those hair dryers! Forget your toothbrush? Not to worry! Eastover's Trading Post offers everything you need from toiletries to tee shirts all at reasonable prices.
So, what is B.Y.O.B.?
Eastover does not have a liquor license so you Bring Your Own Booze. Hence the need for those coolers! Eastover will provide soft drinks, juices, ice and cups for your beverage needs. We also have a local purveyor who will deliver for you right to the front desk should you forget to pack any liquor essentials!
What is Kids Camp?
Kids Camp is a program of activities, arts & crafts, story time and much more which is supervised by well-trained staff. The program is run for two hours each morning and two hours each afternoon as well as an hour in the evening. Children must be three or older to participate and must also be potty-trained. Children younger than three are welcome to join in the activities as long as a parent accompanies them. Older children will be more interested in our daily activities offered on our social schedule.
Kids Camp is not, however, a day care unit. If you need supervised child-care,
babysitters may be available with advanced notice.
What's in my room?
At Eastover no two rooms are alike. We have many different room sizes and configurations of beds. Beds vary from twin to double with a limited number of kings. We also have rooms that have private bathrooms, semi-private (shared with the room next door) and some that are shared by all guests on the hall. Our reservations department will advise you of the type of room that will best suit you and your guests. Because our rooms are booked based on capacity and on a first-come-first-served basis, particular rooms may not be available. We will always do our best to accommodate you and your guests. Our rooms are country "basic" - comfortable and clean with 50% of the rooms having telephones. There are no televisions in our rooms. All linens are provided. Should you need sleeping arrangements for an infant or toddler, we do have a limited amount of pack-n-play (playpen) style cribs. Unfortunately, we do not have full cribs available.
What activities are available in the winter?
In addition to our scheduled social activities there's lots to do in the winter at Eastover. Bousquet is a quick, five-minute drive from Eastover and transportation and boxed lunches can be provided with advanced notice.
If downhill skiing is not your thing, Eastover also has miles of cross-country skiing and snow shoeing trails. There are also plenty of hills for sledding (you must bring your own sleds and sledding is done completely at your own risk). Eastover also has a two-man toboggan run which runs daily at scheduled times during the winter.
I have special dietary needs, am I going to be able to eat?
Our entire kitchen staff prides themselves on taking care of the special needs of our guests. Low fat, vegetarian, no creams or sugars - No Problem. Advanced notice is recommended to be sure that we can prepare your meals. You may contact the front desk and we may even suggest that you speak with our chef upon arrival.
Are there any non-smoking rooms?
As of July 2003, per the Tri-Town Board of Health, smoking is not permitted in any of the guest rooms or public areas of the resort. This includes the Carriage Room, American Heritage Room and Tally Ho. Ash canisters are located outside of all of our common areas for your convenience.
Can I bring my pet?
Although we are sure that your pet is wonderful, we do not accept pets of any kind at the resort.
We have a large group interested in a weekend away; when should we reserve and do you offer any discounts?
Eastover accepts reservations a year in advance. Reservations open the first day of each month for any reservation for that month the following year. While we believe that our rates are more than reasonable our reservation agents will work with you personally to see to your groups needs. Please contact the front desk at 1 (800) 822-2386 for more information.
