Community as a Healer
Community As Healer with Linda Marks, MSM
Weekend dates to be determined.
Saturday evening performance free to the public
In this workshop,we create a safe, sacred healing environment using the power of our hearts. The heart has the strongest electromagnetic field in the body, so when we bring our hearts together, we create a collective heart field. When anyone has a turn, everyone has a turn. Learn how emotional feelings and body sensations and tensions help us access our intuition, and provide information about what we really need. A knot in the stomach, a headache or a tightness in the chest has important information to give us if we can learn to translate the body's language into terms we can understand.
Please also join us for additional programs with Linda Marks:
Linda Marks, MSM, has been practicing Emotional-Kinesthetic Psychotherapy (a heart-centered approach to body psychotherapy) for 31 years. She has led workshops on the power of the heart, the power of voice, and many other heart-related topics nationally and internationally and is the author of Living With Vision: Reclaiming the Power of the Heart (Knowledge Systems, 1988) and Healing the War Between the Genders: The Power of the Soul-Centered Relationship (HeartPower Press, 2004). Linda's heart leads her to write and perform music, which she is doing again professionally. Her recent albums are "Heart To Heart" (2015) and "Coming Full Circle" (2016) with "Say Yes To Love" due out in 2017. www.lindamarksmusic.comand www.healingheartpower.com
Linda has been a professional speaker, healer and teacher for thirty years. In the mid-1980's, she began teaching in Europe after being invited to present a workshop at the Findhorn Foundation in Forres, Scotland. She was invited back as a keynote speaker at the Gift of Spirit Conference the following year. And it was there she met Martin Leith, who brought her work to London. She brought her work to Switzerland, Sweden and Germany as well.
When Living With Vision: Reclaiming the Power of the Heart (Knowledge Systems, Inc, 1989) was released, the demand for her work in the United States began to grow. She has taught at many major consciousness teaching centers (Interface, New York Open Center, Rowe Camp and Conference Center, Kripalu, Whole Health Expos in Boston, San Francisco and Portland, Providence Learning Connection), and has spoken at many conferences (Association for Humanistic Psychology National and Midwest Conferences, National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine, Body Wisdom, US Association for Body Psychotherapy's First Conference, Rhode Island Occupational Therapist's Association Conference to name a few).
She is on the faculty of the College of Community and Public Service at UMass Boston, and has taught classes at Lesley University, the MIT Sloan School of Boston Alumni Club, and Mount Wachusett Community College.
