“One breath, One brush stroke, One movement” with Lorelei Chang
“The Chinese Tea Ceremony ~ One with its Healing Power” with Haiyan Feng
This workshop designed by Lorelei Chang offers an insightful way to connect mind, body and spirit with breath, brush stroke, and movement.
Using Lorelei’s unique skills, she combines ancient Qigong breath work, the art form of Chinese Calligraphy, and flowing movement in this workshop designed for all level of students. The class consists of breath work incorporated into a slow Qigong form, using the body as a brush and moving through space as though painting on a canvas. Students will also have hands-on experience working with Lorelei on traditional Chinese calligraphy, learning basic strokes and creating their own character. As a highlight of the class, students will have an opportunity to make up a short movement phrase based on the character they created, and perform with Lorelei and Haiyan at the end of workshop. This process channels one’s mind, breath, and movement with brush work and sparks one’s creativity to unify the three into oneness.

The Chinese Tea Ceremony~ One with its Healing Power
A Ritual of Inner Peace for Harmony, Tranquility and Joy
Tea is life. Tea is energy. We live in a stressful world. Rarely do we have a chance to listen to what our hearts want and need. With the passage of time, the lack of attention to unhappiness from our hearts causes the body illness and pain. Watching a spiritual tea master performing a tea ceremony, is like having a therapeutic massage in a SPA where your spirit is lifted and you feel love, peace and joy in the moment.
This workshop is designed by Haiyan Feng to reduce stress, boost energy, purify and balance the chakras with a combination of authentic Chinese Tea Ceremony, Guzheng (an ancient Chinese instrument) musical healing, yoga breathing, mantras/chanting, Lotus mudras and light healing. Students will learn the tea culture and tea etiquette; learn the potential health benefits of tea and when to drink what type of tea; taste and appreciate six basic categories of fine teas (white tea, green tea, red/black tea, oolong tea, puerh tea and blended herbal teas) and learn how to brew the whole leaf loose teas and prepare a tea party/ tea healing session at home.
Haiyan is a certified tea master from China, Guzheng musical performer and recording artist, Reiki master teacher, Tui Na and Tong Ren massage therapist, and founder of The Way of Lotus. Since 1992, Haiyan has practiced the Buddhist and Taoist Philosophy, Qi Gong, Meditation, Tibetan Chanting, Dance/movement, and Energy healing arts.
Haiyan is originally from Beijing, China. After having worked in the corporate world for two decades successfully in both China and U.S as international manager, she experienced severe depression and anxiety, which led her to a path of self healing, awakening and alternative health & wellness discovery.
In 2010, Haiyan developed a self healing program The Way of Lotus Tea Ceremony which is a ritual of inner peace for tranquillity, harmony, joy and prosperity. This program combined the tea ceremony, yoga breathing, dance/movement, music and art, and LaHoChi healing (a powerful energy healing from Holy Spirit).Thru many years of practicing the tea ceremony and exercising the mind and body every day, Haiyan has found a ‘magic key’ opening the door to a happy healthy life. As a cultural ambassador, Haiyan has been invited to speak about Chinese culture and perform the tea ceremony and Guzheng music at many locations, at universities, corporations, healing & wellness centres and art and music groups. She has an MBA from UCONN School of Business (Executive MBA Program) and a BS from Jilin University, China.
