“Eastover does indeed seem to have stepped out of another time, and it's that simplicity that makes it attractive. On our last night, several families gathered in the library to watch the Winter Olympics. With a fire going in the fireplace, the adults oohed and aahed over the figure skating and debated the judging, while the children played board games on the floor. Someone came back from the dance with cookies and passed them out to the children. Just like home — except you don't have to worry about the crumbs.”
