Chan Meditation and Acupuncture 5 day Acupuncture and Meditation training Level I
Breath observation, body and mind (White-bone meditation, Asubha Meditation), has the ability to soothe worries, transform our body, and overturn the unhealthy body into a flourishing state. The two powerful practices have been called “Two manna door“ in Buddhist history.
According to the teaching of Tawya Gaing, Breath observation runs through the White-bone meditation. It actually lays a solid foundation for the White-bone meditation. In turn, the White-bone meditation would help “smashes” hard stasis or biofouling that are difficult to clear, allowing the breath to “wash” the bones and reach a state of birth. Master Ditanliao passes the valuable healing experiences that has been acquired in his 20 years of ascetic practice to the students without reservation. The various breathing techniques taught In his meditation are highly practical. So that the students participating in meditation workshop can effectively transform their body, overcome the “five hindrances”, and further cut off “body erroneous views”.

Tan, the Teacher was born in a traditional Chinese Medicine – Xu family. The Xu Family needling method (acupuncture technic) has been recognized by the Nang Ping city as an Intangible Heritance Treasure. Tan is the 12 generation lineage inheritor. Immediately upon graduating from college, Tan was very attracted to the rich original ancient Buddhist teachings. He became a monk at Xiamen South Putuo Buddhist Temple. He studied in the Min Nan Buddhist College. He went through lots of hardships traveling via Philippines to Thailand where he followed the Forest Buddhist Tradition with (阿姜摩訶布瓦- Achaan Mahaa Boowe) Ajahn Chah Subhatto for 11 years. Subsequently, he continued practicing at Korean Snow Mountain Temple for the next 6 years. In addition to observations about the mind, he has a depth of experience in practicing White Skeleton Meditation. His 20 years of meditation practice brought him insights into the Chinese Medicine and needling art(acupuncture). With this advanced and highly developed awareness and awakening, Tan went on to resolve the thousand years’ old mystery of the primordial energy transforming itself into Qi, and how the Qi then would go on to influence the soul. The breath and White Skeleton make our mind overcome our pain and help us enter the state of tranquility. While our Qi channels are in the process of getting purified, our muscles begin to rejuvenate, areas of stagnations are eliminated and mind awareness begin to improve. As our energy channels become visible, observing our body is like reading Chinese medicine classic: Inner Canon of The Yellow Emperor (黄帝内经), and observing internal energy moving channel is like reading the book of “Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases” (伤寒论). As the science of life is revealed in Chinese medicine, our human body is naturally characterized and exhibited in the natural law of harmony.
